On this day 36 years ago–
God gave breathing lungs…to the man I love…
On this day 14 years ago–
We were wading-deep…in new marriage love.
On this day 7 years ago–
We were thankful-full…brim-full with three little ones to love…
On this day 3 years ago–
We were clinging-tight…grieving our fourth child so deeply loved.
On this day 2 years ago–
This very day…
We were listening by phone…to the newborn cries…
Of our baby so-wanted-in-love.
And today.
On this day…
The love spills over…
For this man, united in love.
For this child, given-received in love.
For my God…the source of love.
And so I say…
with thankfulness in my heart to God…
