Monarch caterpillar

The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year.
It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose;
new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes.
Unless a particular man made New Year resolutions,
he would make no resolutions.
Unless a man starts afresh about things,
he will certainly do nothing effective.
Unless a man starts on the strange assumption
that he has never existed before,
it is quite certain that he will never exist afterwards.
Unless a man is born again,
he shall by no means enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
~G.K. Chesterton

Possibilities of…
~less worry, more prayer
~less tearing down, more building up
~less spending, more giving
~less busy, more ready to engage
~less inside, more outside
~less eating, more exercise
~less butter, more olive oil
~less licks-and-a-promise, more deep-cleaning
~less accumulation, more simplification
~less watching, more reading
~less Dimetapp, more Vitamin D
~less promising, more follow through
~less nagging, more encouraging
~less magazine reading, more of God’s Word
~less night owl, more early bird
~less responding to the immediate, more intentional redeeming the minutes

~less red meat, more fish
~less fear, more trusting
~less complaining, more thankful
~less of me, more of Him

By God’s grace.
Through His strength.
In His will.
For His glory.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
~2 Corinthinans 5:17

I love your less more list and I love the possibilities of beginning afresh. There’s a post I read by you a while back that is in the back of my head about being intentional in your parenting. I’ll let you know if I can’t find it and maybe you can point me in the right direction.

  7. The possibilities are exciting, aren’t they? P.S. I love the “less dimetapp, more vitamin D.” :)
