Christmas Blessing Giveaway

Christmas brings back so many memories for me…
But one that will always fill this week is the anticipation of our daughter Selah’s birth.

Thinking about adoption and the little baby girl who would join our family on December 12th.

Lydia, our youngest, who is four–
Has been asking a lot of questions about adoption lately.
And last week she was listing out all the people she knows who are adopted.

She said, “And Jesus was adopted.”
It started me thinking about Mary and Joseph and the weeks of anticipation as they awaited their baby’s birth,
The birth of Jesus.

And this time should be one of expectancy for us as well–
As we prepare our hearts for Christmas and the celebration of His entering our world–
God with Us.

GOD with Us

What a fabulous giveaway!! Love your writing, love your heart and love YOU! <3
    My favorite Christmas memory is setting up the nativity and moving Mary & Joseph through out the house as it got closer to Christmas. And on Christmas day having the kids rush PAST the tree filled with gifts and to the nativity and exclaim, "He's here!" {they totally got the whole point of Christmas!}

    • I love that Stac :)
      Thankful for you too!
(Especially this time of years as I pull out Selah’s Christmas photos…never want to forget to tell you what a gift those are to us each year…a precious record of her life. Thank you!)

  3. I love that Lydia relates to the Christ child–he was adopted too. I point out to our refugee friends that Jesus was a refugee too. I can’t pick one thing I love most about this season.

My favorite Christmas memory is of my daughter. Her first Christmas, she was 5 months old. She loved being put in her bouncy seat, and being put under the Christmas tree. she would giggle and laugh and look at the lights.

  7. Roxanna Precht says:

My favorite Christmas memory was waking up early and going in to wake up my parents because I was so excited to open up presents. Also, when the whole family got together for dinner, I would be the one around the tree calling out for people to come get their presents :)

Would love to hear your thoughts...
