I finished the book last night and fell asleep longing for them to make it into a movie–
Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet.
Also swirling was–
How much and how quickly each child in this house is growing.
My bitter and sweet.
On Thursday I met for breakfast-tea-turned-almost-dinner with two special friends.
One– just a few years and a stage, but leaps of wisdom, ahead…
Processing and praying for children making big decisions that will shape the rest of their lives.
The other– such a kindred who longs to know and pour into each child,
As she prays her love will draw their hearts to Christ.
And especially with our oldest,
This is a time of bittersweet for me.
I watch her shake off her child-ness,
Crawling, walking, running towards flight.
Lately, God has given me parenting nudges.
Even through the book last night…
Reminding that a parent’s fingerprints linger and impact generations to come.
I’m over at The Better Mom today sharing about another one of those reminders.
Would love to have you join me over there…
